Our Vision

Since our beginning in 2009, YES Ministries has had a desire to establish children’s homes for orphaned and uncared for children throughout the Caribbean region. As of May 1, 2024, YES has purchased land on the island of St. Vincent and has been granted approval for our plans to build our first children’s home, Covenant House of St. Vincent.

What makes YES Ministries unique is our view of kids. Simply put, we view kids like Jesus viewed kids. Jesus, our greatest model of all things, showed us four key aspects of how our ministry should be characterized when it comes to kids.

1. Jesus had a tender heart toward kids.
“Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.” James 1:27. The heart of YES Ministries is to love and care for all kids and especially for those who are orphaned or uncared for.

2. Jesus devoted His time to kids.
“But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for such is the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 19:14. It’s not enough to say we love kids, we will show them our love for them by the time we spend with them.

3. Jesus said children were a vital part of society.
“And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me.” Matthew 18:3-5. Kids have a huge impact for Christ in our world, not only on other kids, but with adults as well.

4. Jesus had a zeal for protecting kids.
“And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.” Mark 9:42. YES will work hard to protect kids spiritually, physically, and emotionally.
